SUMMARY:NVC Intermediate Course
DESCRIPTION:About the Course\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEmbodying more and more NVC in everyday life is rather complex\, as violence is the consciousness that surrounds me at home\, work\, and in the streets. \n“Put me in a room full of violence and I’ll lose my compassion”.  \nTo keep my nonviolent consciousness is key to have a community where I can go back to center it and cultivate it more deeply. \n \nCourse content \nWe are going to start polishing and de-rusting even more our NVC\, so that it becomes more natural and authentic.  \nWhat you are gonna learn: \n\nEmpathic listening: a layer deeper \nStreet giraffe (how to speak NVC with everyone\, moving “away” from the 4 steps)\nVulnerable honesty: Peeling the layers of authenticity \nHow to take decisions: The art of being torn \nSaying no\nHow to transform guilt \nNVC apologies \nGuessing requests \n\nThe program might shift as I like to follow what’s alive and the unique learning curve of the specific groups I work with. \n\nLearning style \nOur focus is on the embodied aspect of NVC\, so classes will not look like a seminar. To practice and integrate NVC\, we implement a mixture of 30% theory and 70% interactive practices such as exercises\, demonstrations\, role plays\, and processing of real-life situations emerging during the course. Hit me with a message! \n \nWhere? \nOnline\, on Jitsi Meet. \nYou won’t need to download anything. \n \nNumber of participants \nThe number of attending participants can go from a minimum of 5 to a maximum of 20. There might be one or more assistants joining us to support you on your very personal learning journey. \n \nPrice \nThe cost of the course is between 250 and 350 euros. \nI offer a sliding scale as everyone has a different income and financial situation\, and I intend to leave you as much as possible the freedom to contribute out of your means and free will. \nThe payment takes place in two steps: \n1)  A prepayment of 100 euros before the beginning of the course to reserve your spot \n2)  The completion of the payment one week before the end of the course\, so that your payment comes from gratitude and not only from a sense of duty \n \nAbout money \nMoney is my favorite strategy to care for the sustainability of my offerings. It’s very flexible and easy to direct towards what supports contributing to me\, depending on the moment. A very simple\, practical\, dynamic\, and effective one.\n\nThis 2-hour workshop will be very hands-on in your life and with a lot of exercises (70% interactive\, 30% theory). It allowed me to reconnect with my mum during a very difficult conflict—and I felt love for her for the first time in 20 years. so\, later on\, after three years immersed in neuroscience research\, and after facing the lack of meaningful mental health support in that field\, it seemed clear to me where i needed to start\, and it felt natural to shift path.For the past three years\, I’ve been sharing an embodied approach to NVC through courses\, workshops\, individual sessions\, and mediations. My work emphasizes practice and lived experience over theory\, I like to offer small\, digestible steps that invite an integration of the deep revolution that NVC proposes. My name is Matthias. To be honest with you\, I’m incredibly hesitant to write this short biography about myself. Part of the resistance comes from a fear of not being enough – it’s an insecurity that often comes alive since for many years of my life my need for connection wasn’t met\, no matter what I tried. Out of this experience I’m shy to show and present myself\, even to an unknown reader\, to not go through the pain of rejection again. Another source for this hesitation is that I’ve got an idea of how I need to present myself here as a teacher. “I need to sell myself well and in a way that will make you trust me and curious to learn from me”. And I’m worried that I’ll try to perform as something I’m not in order to achieve that. Underneath the pressure of trying to be perfect I’m certain I’ll lose something incredibly important. I’ll lose connection to myself and with that any hope of actually contributing value to you.That’s why I’ll start this introduction of myself like this. I’m looking forward to meeting you and exploring together how we can connect to our feelings and unknown desires. How we can hold space and lovingly meet each other exactly where we are in our authentic selves. This is the place where relationships gain intimacy and depth\, where love grows and where life begins to make sense.Just in case you actually want to know about my background: I started learning about NVC in 2019\, took my first lessons with Empathie Stadt Zurich in 2020\, and completed my education in 2023 with a course about teaching and embodying NVC by CNVC-Trainer Yoram Mosenzon.
